Special Exhibition for Black History Month
Bernardine Sims and family have graciously loaned their family archives and art to share with the community in celebration of Black History Month. Please visit this special exhibition during the month of February anytime during our normal open hours: Wednesdays 9:30 – 12 and Thursday – Saturday 11 – 2.

La Grange Area Historical Society Holiday Open House
Please join us for some old-fashioned cheer at the Holiday Open House on December 8th from 1 – 3 pm. The Vial House will be beautifully decorated for Christmas through the decades, music will be playing, refreshments will be served, and there will be activities for the children. Come enjoy the festivities and be sure to buy a raffle ticket for a beautiful Christmas arrangement donated by the La Grange Garden Club. Invite your family and friends to enjoy a magical holiday afternoon at the Vial House.

Multi-Chamber "Mix & Mingle" Event at the Brookfield Zoo
Join us for the July "After Hours" at the World-famous Brookfield Zoo. This is a multi-chamber event. The Animal Ambassadors will be present, and there will be a short presentation on the activities at the Zoo, and their mission of conservation.
La Grange Area Historical Society—Ice Cream Social
The La Grange Area Historical Society received a proclamation at the Village board meeting in recognition of the 150th birthday of the Samuel Vial House. An ice cream social event will be held at the Vial House to celebrate this milestone. Come on by and share your congratulatory wishes!

Village Branding & Identity Plan Community Workshop
The Village of La Grange Park would like to extend an invitation to a community engagement workshop for the Village’s Branding and Identity Plan.
The Village of La Grange Park, along with Span, a Chicago-based design studio, is hosting an in-person workshop designed to get the community’s input on what makes La Grange Park unique, and will inform the plan to enhance La Grange Park’s sense of place, improve navigation in the Village and shape our community’s identity.

Youth Commission Vacancies
The Village is seeking two new members to serve on the Youth Commission during the next school year. Great opportunity for students in grades 7 to 12 to engage with their peers on community issues serving alongside other Village Boards Committees, and making recommendations to the Village Board. Meetings are held once a month on Monday evenings, from September through June. To learn more, visit the Youth Commission webpage. Applications are due on June 28.
