Helping Hand
How long have you been in business?
Helping Hand started as the Helping Hand Autism School in 1955 when parents of children with developmental disabilities were struggling to find social and educational options that addressed their children's unique needs. Our business has grown to our current programming, serving more than 500 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What are your key products/services?
We offer a wide range of person-centered programs and services that enhance the educational, therapeutic, residential, and employment opportunities for those we serve. Our services and programs include our HH school, employment programs that promote being equally valued in the workplace, pediatric therapies (occupational & speech/language), high school transition services, community living (CILA), and specialized programs with high team member-to-client ratios for seniors with disabilities.
How do you hope the Chamber will help your business grow?
I hope this Chamber will help spread Helping Hand's mission and result in more people using our services and programs. I hope the meetings and events we attend will help create personal relationships where we can help one another grow.
Outside of your business, how do you enjoy spending your time?
I enjoy spending my time trying new restaurants, going to attractions, and spending time with friends and family.
